Lively through Artificial Intelligence
THE PROJECT IN BRIEF
Making Adult Education lively through Artificial Intelligence (LivAI) is an Erasmus + project funded under the action KA220 Cooperation Partnership in Adult Education.
Formed by a consortium of 6 entities, the project will work during 24 months on the important challenge of how technology and data in particular should be approached with from an ethical perspective, within a certification framework that would guarantee standards for any learning and work environment.
In education, the importance of artificial intelligence (AI) and ethics in its development is recognized. The European Union stands out as a leader in establishing ethical standards for AI, with a focus on respecting citizens’ values and privacy. However, concerns persist about the lack of awareness in educational institutions regarding the risks and benefits of handling data ethically, as data is often shared with third parties without a full understanding of its use, and users frequently accept cookies without carefully reading data usage agreements.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
Therefore, the overall objective of the project is to contribute to the ethical digital advancement of the European communities through the piloting of AI adult educational pathways.
The specific objectives of the project are:
- To enhance institutional commitment to implementation of the EU
- To create Open Educational Resources (OER) that will provide and
- To promote ethical data use in the field of education on all levels
OUTCOMES OF THE PROJECT
he two main outcomes of the LivAI project are the creation of educational resources, such as a manual for understanding ethics in the field of data and artificial intelligence, and the implementation of an e-learning platform with the possibility of validating or certifying the acquired competences. LivAI is aimed at adults, mainly educators, educational institutions and adult learners.
In addition to providing material for training and acquiring knowledge in artificial intelligence, the project will certify the skills acquired. This improves the quality of adult education and facilitates access to training in this growing technology.
