In the framework of the kick-off meeting of the Erasmus+ KA2 ECO_Tag project, Dr Didier BLANC, EFCoCert Foundation President, prepared and animated
a workshop on sustainable development (SD) good practices within VET culinary centres.
Browsing the UNO 17 SD goals for their potential relevance rapidly convinced the partners that the potential educational legacy of culinary centres goes far beyond “farm to fork” or “organic” approaches.
Indeed, the workshop revealed that the following 12 (out of 17) UNO SDGs are relevant in this context:
- 3. Good health & Well-being
- 4. Quality Education
- 5. Gender equality
- 6. Clean water and sanitation
- 7. Affordable and clean energy
- 8. Decent work and economic growth
- 10. Reduce inequalities
- 12. Responsible consumption and production
- 13. Climate action
- 14. Life beyond water
- 15. Life on land
- 17. Partnerships (Governance)
Cross-matched with the Erasmus+ 2023 programme guide, this outcome demonstrates that the UNO SDGs address or cover ALL horizontal priorities. Nothing less!
Conclusion:
- Think about referring to the UNO SDGs in your 2023 Erasmus+ KA2 applications,
- Do not miss inviting EFCoCert Foundation as key partner for setting the competence profile and associated certification system within your project.
