TERRA (staying for “Towards Education and open badges certification system to Reach employability in Regenerative Agriculture”) is a new project funded within the Erasmus+ forward looking programme.

The TERRA kick-off meeting has been organised in Torino (Italy) the 5th and 6th February 2024, with 10 partners from 5 countries (Spain, Italy, Greece, Poland and Switzerland) representing VET schools, farmers’ organisations and competence certification expertise (EFCoCert).

EFCoCert Foundation’s expertise will be key in this project for:

    • drafting the regenerative agriculture competence and good practices profile,
    • determining the competence recognition use cases, and
    • developing, piloting, and implementing the competence certification system associated with micro-credentials and open badges.

The competence certification system will be based on the highly innovative “ecosystem” approach developed and finalised by EFCoCert in the framework of 4 Erasmus+ KA2 2021 projects that just finished by the end of 2023.

This “ecosystem” approach is based on the involvement of the stakeholders related to the candidate (e.g. clients, beneficiaries, peers, employers, …) for confirming whether the expected competences and good practices have been demonstrated. A very flexible and promising approach.
