The Erasmus+ KA2 “ECO-Tag” project is dedicated to developing a training course and associated certification scheme for promoting sustainability good practices within culinary VET centres in Europe.
The project is now reaching out to the end, and the main outcomes are now available and ready to use, i.e.:
- the ECO_TAG POLICY HANDBOOK, relating European and International policies to the activities of Culinary VET Centres,
- the MOOC, interactive training for VET trainers on sustainability applied to VET culinary centers, and
- the Certification Scheme, for both Teachers and culinary VET educational institutions.
EFCoCert Foundation, as competence certification expert and full member of the project’s consortium, has been in charge of designing and developing the competence and good practices certification scheme associated to the MOOC developed by the 4 VET school partners.
The “Sustainable Practices in Culinary VET Education” certification scheme developed is highly innovative as for the very first time within Erasmus+ projects, it associates:
- an “I Know How” certification of the acquired knowledge fully aligned to the EU policy on micro-credentials,
- an “I Am Confirmed” certification of the teachers’ demonstrated competences and applied good practices, based on EFCoCert’s unique “ecosystem” approach,
- a meta certification at VET School level, attesting the commitment and involvement of the school in sustainability practices, beyond employing certified teachers.
With this unique expertise, EFCoCert brings essential added value to Erasmus+ KA2 projects.
