EU WBL

In-company WBL (Workplace Based Learning) mentors implementing and organizing WBL in enterprises are in the front-line and at the core of quality WBL playing an important role to achieve a successful WBL procedure. The “European Framework for Quality and Effective Apprenticeships emphasizes the necessity for teachers, trainers and in company mentors to “update their skills and competences in order to train apprentices according to the latest teaching and training methods and labour market needs”.

The #Mentor4WBL@EU project addresses this necessity by developing a training curriculum and a competence certification scheme for WBL Mentors.

EFCoCert & ViaSyst are in charge of developing the WBL Mentor competence certification scheme.

• The Small Enterprises’ Institute of the Hellenic Confederation of Professionals, Craftsmen and Merchants (IME GSEVEE), project leader, is a Greek social partner representing SMEs.
• CH – EFCoCert is a Swiss Foundation dedicated to develop and exploit of ISO 17024 compliant competence certification schemes for non-regulated professions in Europe.
• CH – ViaSyst SA is a Swiss private IT company whose core business is to design, develop and operate as SaaS dematerialized IT solutions for operating competence certification schemes.
• UK – Centre for Factories of the Future Limited (C4FF) is a British SME with RTD capacity acting as the instigator of the Factories of the Future projects in the UK.
• Bahçesehir Universitesi Foundation is a Turkish university with international collaborations throughout EU and other countries.
• DIEK Aigaleo the oldest and the biggest post-secondary public vocational educational training institution in Athsn, Greece. It is located in the western part of Athens, a densely populated area and serves a great deal of municipalities of this area with up-to-date laboratories in spacious buildings, excellent learning environment and 16 different specializations
• The link for our KA1 projects and KA2 Manpower Employment Organization (OAED) is the Greek PES (Public Employment Service) under the supervision of the Ministry of Labour, Social Insurance and Social Solidarity.
